July 14, 2011 Spring Township Police will discuss CDL pre-trip and tie-down requirements with a truck walk-around demonstration. Steve Detweiler and Nancy Bosold will present weed spray license credit courses

July 15, 2010 BPW Meeting Spring Township Police will discuss DOT regulations and CDL regulations affecting municipalities and their workers, including, among other things, truck weight regulations, tie-downs, medical certification cards, and classes of licenses. A question-and-answer period will follow the formal presentation.

Jan. 13, 2010 BPW Meeting Jon Veeder of I.M.U.S. will present a program about liquid de-icing application and materials. Dave Ruyak, City of Reading arborist, will discuss funding for PA TreeVitalize Campaign, a program for street trees. Mark Kolb of Allentown Mack Sales/Services will talk about the new diesel emissions systems in trucks
 
Oct. 1, 2009 Mini Trade Show Numerous companies will be on hand to display the latest in equipment, road maintenance, communications, engineering and more! All public officials, managers, elected municipal officials and municipal workers are invited to attend.

Representatives from LTAP will be discussing elements of Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC). The Miller Keystone blood mobile will be onsite for donations.

Join us for the RODEO! There will be seven skill events which may include equipment such as backhoes, truck (automatic transmission, CDL not required), mini-excavator, zero-turn lawn mower, skid loader, and cone toss. On the day of the show, team members select three of the seven events in which to participate. Events will be timed and/or judged and will include general operation and/or implement specific skills.
July 16, 2009 General Membership Meeting John Deere Landscapes will present a program on vegetation management. Sealmaster will be demonstrating crack seal application, with crack sealing equipment. These programs will be running concurrently and members will have their choice which to attend. This will be an outdoor program with a pig roast and all the trimmings for lunch!!

Wayne Horn from Sealmaster will present a demonstration on crack-seal application.
John Deere Landscapes will sponsor a vegetation management program, including PPE and safety requirements, noxious weeds and weed identification, and modes of action and vegetation management products. Pesticide applicator license credits will be available.
 
April 16, 2009 General Membership Meeting
Our program: Stihl representatives will present Chain Saw and Concrete Cutting Saw Safety and Maintenance. They will have other Stihl products on display as well.

Held at Oley Fairgrounds, featuring over 30 vendors and 200 municipal members, an educational seminar presented by Boyd Instrument & Supply Co., Inc. discussing GPS and GIS site laser equipment and entertainment by Classic Harley Davidson. 286 total attendees

At the Leesport Farmer's Market, Ralph Dromie of Willow Creek Fuels will discuss recent changes in regulations regarding low sulfur diesel. Randy Imbt from John Deere will review the evolution of diesel technology to the emission certified engines and how they differ. Penn Detroit Diesel-Allison Inc.'s Brian Stauffer and Bob Moore will discuss the Detroit/Diesel MBE 900 engine and the Allison automatic transmission models.
